With so many free resources out there, why choose to do STEM with us?
I hear you, I look for all the free resources to help me design new activities and experiments for families and I can confidently say, what is offered on most of the internet and lots of "hands-on activity" books is comprised of shallow learning material. It's cool, fun, but it lacks depth. I work to offer hands-on learning beyond what I find online.
On my website here I will post activities that are worth doing at home, I have a book section where I review STEM books, and activities the family can try at their own pace. When you STEM at the Curiosity Cafe, you are getting an experience that is difficult to replicate because the materials are an investment, instructions take lots of time to set up, or the science concept is pretty complicated. It's worth it for me to invest in the activities because I replicate them for multiple families, but for homeschool families who have multiple ages you are teaching, there are just not enough hours in the day to be an expert in every field.

STEM For the Family
The Curiosity Cafe is designed for families. Our in depth experiments take 15-20 minutes each to complete and offer instructions, descriptions of what is happening, and interpretation of why it matters. Kick-off each month with experiments that leave you curious to learn more at home!
Every first Monday of the month.
Guild Monthly Events
We believe in fostering community, that's what makes everyone here apart of the Guild. Join the monthly community challenges and invite your other friends to join in the fun too, then you will have someone to talk to who is trying the same challenges as you!
iNaturalist / Seek
If you have not been using the free nature app Seek, you are missing out! This app works like a Pokemon Pokedex, as you scan plants and animals, the app identifies them for you and you get badges for identifying new creatures. Every month the app puts out a new challenge of a type of creature for you to find, get in on the fun and use the app. Not sponsored we are just fans
